A Day at the Singapore Art Museum.

Recently a good friend of mine, Stella, was back in Singapore for holiday with her family. Her son is about the same age as Ethan and we arranged to catch up and bring our kids out to play with each other.

As the Singapore Art Museum is having a children exhibition called the Art Garden. I suggested going there as I thought it will be fun for the kids to learn about art thru play.
At the entrance of the SAM, there is this giant white balloon bunny call Walter who greeted us. The 2 kids were very excited to see the big bunny and they were jumping around and try to get close to it.  We manage to get a nice picture of them together with the bunny.

The boys were especially excited in this exhibition room. The room was built with toy train tracks and decorated with toy cranes, trucks, and animals. But they were not allowed to touch any of the exhibits in this room. However, there is another similar room where there are toy trains which children can play in.

Look at his happy face.

In this room, there are these few trees with animals made from paper mache where visitors are welcome to write on them.

I think the next room, Mummy Dearest is the most interesting and fun. It has live size hand painted dolls with clothes and shoes where the children can help to dress them up.

Our real live size dolls.

In this room, the kids were provided with some picture to colour. There were boxes of color pencils for them to us and stencils too.

Overall the exhibition is not very big but it provides alot of fun for the kids.
The Art Garden exhibition will be on till 30 August, do visit it if you have the chance.
