Shichida Class No. 2

Last Friday was the 2nd class for the term. Ethan was eagerly running into the class to greet his teacher and promptly sat down in the same seat as the week before. The teacher saw this and praised him that he still remembers the seat he was sitting. But he will need to change place as every week the seating arrangement will be change so that the children can view the class from different angle.

Same as the 1st class, we started with the introductory song in Japanese. And Ethan was paying attention and clapping to the rhythm of the song. And as soon as the song ends, the teacher began flashing some cards in lighting speed. Some of the sets of flash cards were the same as last week, and some were new. Photo memory was also done with new pictures and this time Ethan could only remember one out of three. He could also count from 1- 8 while scooping the pebble out of a bowl into another cup. During the clean up activity, the teacher scatter bag of crushed papers on the floor and ask the children to help to clean up. Ethan was also very helpful in picking up all the papers and threw them into the basket provided.  Some of the activities were repeated like learning addition, learning the different kind of animals, dots games.

And very soon an hour class ended, Ethan was getting restless towards the end as it was almost his nap time. The teacher commented in his COB book that he responded very well to the teacher and he could count from 1-8 by himself very well. And a stack of print sheets was given to bring back for Ethan to do one a day for a month.
