I need a new diaper bag!

I'm lucky that Papa ET does not shout at me and say "Why do you need another diaper bag when you already have 2??" Well actually we do have these 2 diaper bags, a Louis Vuitton and a Burberry.

I have been using the LV one ever since Ethan was born, and it really can store alot of stuff  for newborn, and I really like it. It is the only LV bag I ever own cause I have not found any other bag I like other than this. And I stopped using it when Ethan was turning 1 and the stuff that we need to bring out for him was lesser and so we started using the Burberry one till now.
I just can't help it when I saw this diaper bag that 1 of my cousin showed me the other day, and it keep floating in and out of my mind.

It is this Marc by Marc Jacob diaper bag. Isn't it gorgeous!!! I really like the bright and cheerful color and it
matches the pram that we have. It is made in nylon and it come with the diaper changing mat. I just ordered it from http://www.shopbop.com/ and they offer free worldwide delivery with any purchase of US$100 and above.
Can't wait to receive it soon!

2D1N Desaru Road Trip Part 1

Over the weekend, we went for a short road trip to Desaru with my relatives. I've never been to Desaru, and now with the new highway open, it cuts down the travelling time from 2 hours  to less than an hour to reach.

We did not plan much for the trip, the main purpose was to do some family bonding and visit some farms. We left Singapore about 8.15am and we manage to clear both Singapore and Malaysia custom by about 9.30am.The journey to new Desaru highway was a breeze, there was not much traffic and the weather was fine and sunny. The 1.7Km new bridge cutting across the Johor River looks so magnificent.

The new bridge

Soon after crossing the bridge, we have found ourselves near Desaru. First stop of our trip is the Ostrich Farm. It is a show farm with more than 100 ostrich on site, it's main aim is to let the public know more about the birds, like their mating season, habits etc and create awareness. It quite an interesting farm and it not very big to explore.

I learned that the female birds can carry about 10 eggs in them at one time. And the birds are normally breed mainly for their feather for feather duster, skin for leather and meat.
The Ostrich lays the largest egg in the world, 1 egg is equivalent to 18-20 chicken eggs and is full of protein but low in cholesterol. The egg itself is very hard and you will need a drill to open it up. It can support up to 130kg in weight. And they even let us try to stand on it to see for ourselves. There was some green leafy vegetables for sale for feeding the birds, which Ethan was having fun with. After touring the farm, we went to try the ostrich's omelette, satay and some herbal soup.

Trying his balancing on the eggs.

The guide demostrating on opening the egg. Nail open a hole.

Then drill the shell open.
Out comes the egg, equivalent to 18-20 chicken eggs.

After all the food tasting, we were all hungry. The owner of the farm recommend a restaurant nearby for lunch. And so off we go.

If you see this uncle along the street, you better stop him. His homemade bean curd is super nice n smooth.

After lunch we proceed to the next stop, Crocodile farm.

To be continued........

29 week and 11 week more to go

Encountered my 1st leg cramp this morning at 6am and I can still feel the strain at 10am. I was just telling Papa ET last night that I have not have any leg cramp till so late into my pregnancy and this morning I had one. Should have keep my mouth shut.

3rd trimester is here and I can feel the tiredness. I get legs aching just by walking for a while, back and hip also ache. Every time I climb up to the stairs to my room take longer than usual and I feel like I just ran 2.4KM. And I will complain to Papa ET we should have a lift in the house. He will just smile and say " We're almost there, dear. Hang in there." I know it will never happen, I'm just complaining.

Oh well, 11 more weeks to go...hang in there baby. Mummy will see you soon, be nice to ME!

His photographic memory is very good today, he manage to get it all correct twice. He is able to differentiate 59 dots from 60 dots.

Overall I'm very happy with his result, and looking forward to many more sessions to come.

High Tea: Rose Veranda At Shangri La

This post is kinda overdue as I just realise I forgot to blog about this. My cousin was on leave last week and so she suggested to go for high tea to spent the day.

One of my favourite place for high tea is Rose Veranda at Shangri La. They have about 128 different kinds of tea for you to choose from.  The spread is quite decent with quality food, not too much and not too little. They have sushi, dim sum, sandwiches, nice scones, nonya kueh, cooked food and nice desserts.

During the weekdays, their high tea start from 11.30 to 6pm which is the longest one I have seen so far. The ambience is also very cosy and it a nice place to enjoy an afternoon tea.
And best of all, I manage to book the high tea with the 40% anniversary discount. Woohooo!!!!
